ABOUT THE DVD:While Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall captures Rufus' June 2006 performance in New York City, this film contains footage from a later concert at the London Palladium, which occurred in February 2007.Special guests include Martha Wainwright ("Stormy Weather"), Kate McGarrigle (piano, "Over the Rainbow") and Lorna Luft ("After You've Gone").
ABOUT THE 2CD SET:On June 14, 2006, Rufus Wainwright took to the stage to recreate "the Greatest Show of All Time ever staged in honor of the Greatest Show of All Time"--Judy Garland's legendary 1961 concert at Carnegie Hall; song-for-song, in its original venue. Garland fanatics feared a fiasco, but the show was a triumph. His sophisticated act of homage to his hero was both a loving tribute and an arch commentary on the original, featuring classics like "Over The Rainbow," "Come Rain Or Come Shine" and "Zing! Backed by a 36-piece orchestra and arranged by the Broadway famed Stephen Oremus (Wicked, Avenue Q), Rufus's vocal talent soars over those classic melodies on this 2-disc set.
DVD的封面设计简直让人想起80年代那些B级sci fi电影的情节...真够有失水准的.沿用之前那个橙色的poster做封面难道不好吗?
CD的封面由于有张美丽的大头妖照,给人的感觉显然要好很多..这个RUFUS的眼神捕捉得太绝了...
只是到时候希望拿到CD的时候那个橙色的poster只是个sticker.
要赶紧跟jeanie联系啦啊...
